A New Company with a Long History

In 1991 Ed Hutman first entered the Long-Term Care insurance (LTCi) industry bringing a financial background and 20 years of volunteer experience in a large skilled nursing facility in Rockville, MD.  He worked with one of the early pioneers of LTCi concepts, learning the many facets of this important element of financial and retirement planning.  In 1993, Melissa Barnickel joined the company as CFO using her insurance, accounting and administrative background to help manage a growing company in a growing industry.  In 2004, Melissa and Ed joined other long-time agents in further developing individual and group programs through Comprehensive LTC Group and Group LTC Services.

In 2012 Baygroup Insurance was formed to expand our capacity to meet future client needs and broaden the range of services we offer.
